Talk based on Vibhishana Gita.

Vibhishana Gita Appears in Lanka Kanda of Tulsi Ramayana in Avadhi language - Shri Rama teaches it to Vibhisana the brother of Ravana, on the battle field. Rama depicted as the embodiment of Righteousness while Ravana as the embodiment of delusion and unrighteousness. A beautiful allegory of the chariot of righteousness is nicely depicted. Valour and fortitude are the wheels of this chariot. Truthfulness and good character are the flags. Strength, discrimination, control of senses and concern for others are four horses. Forgiveness, compassion, and equanimity of mind are the reins. Devotion to Lord is the intelligent charioteer. Attachment and greed are great enemies. The shield of dispassion, axe of generosity, missile of understanding and the blow of Self Knowledge assure accomplishment of everlasting victory in life.

Brahmachari Prabodh Chaitanya is the resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission San Jose. He combines his impressive knowledge of the scriptures with a keen ability to articulate it with audience relevance. Educated as a software consultant from UCF, Prabodhji's spiritual call came when he read Gurudev's commentary on the Bhagavad Gita. Soon thereafter, Prabodhji decided to dedicate his life to the study of scriptures and the service of humanity. After six years at Chinmaya Mission Orlando, he played a very active role in the planning and execution of the Mission’s 50th anniversary summit gathering in Mumbai. He studied Vedanta for the next two years under the guidance of Pujya Swami Tejomayananda and tutelage of Swami Ishwarananda. Prabodhji is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati and proficient in Sanskrit.
