Pasupathy, Vaiyapuri and Sarath Saxena (who acts as the husband of Kamal's elder sister Kovai Sarala) plan to Kidnap the son of Santhana Bharathi. But as luck would have it, Saxena would fell ill and will be bed ridden. In place of him, the gang will rope in Kamal, who work as the Death well rider. But, instead of kidnapping the son of Santhanabharathi, Manisha's son will be kidnapped. The problem, and confusion that follows forms the story of 'Mumbai Express'.
