Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival

Portland will host the 20th Pacific Northwest Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival in April 2010 following the tradition of previous years. The festival is in homage to the great musician, saint and composer Sri Thyagaraja and other great composers who have contributed to the development of Carnatic Music.

The tradition of this music festival in the Pacific Northwest dates back to 1991 when Carnatic Music lovers in Corvallis, Oregon took the initiative to organize this festival. Ever since, this festival has been rotated between Corvallis, Portland and Seattle every year, sharing the organizing responsibility between the three cities.

Please register early as participation will be based on a First Come First Served basis. In order to maximize the number of participants, group participation will be given priority over individual. If you are participating, please register by Feb 28, 2010 at http://www.portlandaradhana.com.
