Hindustani Classical Guitar Concert by Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, who has been nominated for 2009 Grammy. Born to musician parents Debashish Bhattacharya, a child prodigy, was initiated into Indian classical vocal but he picked up guitar and got hooked by its musical appeal akin to vocal due to its ability to glide. The promise of an uncut diamond enthused his parents to take their first-born at the feet of stalwarts in the arena of vocal and instrumental (guitar). The intense and rigorous training under the able wings of his gurus chiseled him and he emerged as the most brilliant guitarist of the present generation. Pandit Debashish Bhattcharya will be accompanied on Tabla by his brother Subhasis Bhattacharya. He is the most prominent name in the younger generation of Indian and world music. Melody and rhythm he has born with, as he is the 4th generation of Bhattacharya musician family of Kolkata.
