Edward Kennedy, friend of India, brother of President John Kennedy, and the third longest serving member of the US Senate, died this week following a brave struggle with brain cancer. He was universally mourned.

Senator Kennedy was responsible for many of the current-day laws that protect citizens and consumers. He was also responsible for the Immigration Act of 1965, and a staunch supporter of NAFTA, and more recently, of an amnesty for illegal aliens in the US.
