Delhi Rocked New Delhi was rocked by simultaneous bomb blasts on September 12th evening. About 30 people are dead and over a hundred injured by the blasts. Among the bomb sites were popular and crowded marketplaces in Karol Bagh, Connaught Place and Greater Kailash. A couple of bombs were defused near India Gate.A group called Indian Mujahiddeen is reported to have claimed responsibility for the attacks. The same group had also claimed to have organized the bomb blasts in Ahmedabad and Jaipur last month.

Orissa, now Karnataka For several weeks several hundred Orissa tribals have been hiding in the forest for fear of being targeted by groups such as the Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The immediate provocation was the murder of a hindu Swami and five of his followers, although the Christians claim the swami was murdered by Maoists active in India's Tribal Belt. Today's reports claim that 10 churches in Karnataka were burned in a spate of anti-Christian violence.
