Those WMD's Before the Iraq War, Scott Ritter the former UN Weapons Inspector in Iraq, campaigned tirelessly but in vain, saying there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and that America was going to get mired there in a futile and draining effort. Why 26 January? The Lahore Congress Session in 1930 declared January 26 as Independence Day, which was then observed each year. When events in 1946-7 made August 15 the I-Day, the next (equally) great milestone was chosen as January 26! |
