Sone Pe Suhaag Gold on a High The price of gold rose over $1100 an ounce last week as investors sought a safe haven following doubts about the US dollar. Gold demand in India rose by 84% in the last quarter of 2008 over the last quarter of 2007(Wealth Daily). The IMF recently sold 200 metric tonnes of gold to India (Commodity Online). |
