Felon Gang
From reader Kanak Ravel of Portland, Oregon:
"This is VERY interesting! See whether there are any Criminals living in your neighborhood.

"After you type in your address, it pinpoints all the people close to your home that have been convicted of ANY felonies. Then you just click on the red pins/balloons on the map and it gives you the offenders name, age, and felony offense
".

Helpfully, he adds a warning, "If it bothers you to know this kind of details, please do not go any further..."

Felony Spy
Perpetuating Tyranny
If a law is easier to change than follow, what do you do? If you’re President Bush, you simply change it. If the conservative chant of “innocent Americans have nothing to fear” is correct, why the need to give immunity to phone companies? If they, and Bush, were innocent, why did they change the law, asks Paul Craig Roberts. More...

Bhopal - The (Still) Killing Fumes
In 1984 the world’s worst-ever Union Carbide industrial disaster killed over 8000 residents of Bhopal, India and left a legacy of cancer, brain damage, birth defects and congenital disorders that continues to plague the city and will for generations to come. Currently owned by Dow Chemical, the site continues its contamination, and two decades later, those affected are still awaiting compensation. Mandela - The Man to Meet
As Former South African President Nelson Mandela nears his 90th birthday, writer and humorist Melvin Durai does something rare for him -- he becomes deferential as he salutes the man that committed his life to ending apartheid in his country, and departed the scene with grace and respect. Saying, "See him while it is possible", with his signature dry wit, Durai raises his can to the one he calls, "the Gandhi of our time". More...

Unclear Deal
The fallout from the proposed India-US Nuclear Deal has started even before the agreement. Last week the CPM-led Left Front formally withdrew its support to the Manmohan Singh UPA government. In its place, the UPA has garnered the support of the Samajwadi Party. In a strange formation, the left and BJP are together against the UPA. Both sides are equally confident that they will prevail.

In Slip-Shape
Bombay Airport may be closed for three days, after airport officials conducting regular checks on the main runway found the tarmac, at the point of touchdown, severely worn out and caked with pieces of burnt rubber. They make the surface extremely slippery, endangering lives when any aircraft lands. (Midday)
